The 50th Anniversary Surgeon General Report on Smoking and Health was recently release and covered some great milestones on the progress of tobacco cessation and provided recommendations to help people continue quitting smoking successfully.
According to the report, fewer than 20 percent of Americans now smoke, compared with 42 percent in 1964. This success is due to comprehensive tobacco control efforts over the last 50 years.

There is still more work to be done, and Cobb2020 provides resources that can help people make a positive change. Contact the Georgia Tobacco Quit Line at 1.877.270.STOP (7867) for the free therapies and support.
